So, hello folks,
For our very first blog post, we thought we’d kick things off with a quick update from August 1st to get things started.
On the 1st, we showcased our furniture at the Nairn Farmers Show, a local event for us. This involved transporting finished pieces from our workshop to our “shop,” which was a gazebo set up on the show field. We assembled the gazebo the evening before, preparing to start setting up early Saturday morning as the show opened at 9 a.m. Jon arrived on-site around 7:30 a.m., bringing the “Out There” mobile sensory room loaded with as much furniture as it could hold, along with some smaller items in my car.
Once the unloading was done and the vehicles had moved away, it felt like we didn’t stop engaging with customers until 5pm! Completely exhausted, we then had to reload the vehicles, take down the gazebo, and head home.
A couple of pieces were sold and taken to their new homes during the day
Then we headed off on our jollies!
With a clearer mind, our thoughts still revolve around the furniture waiting to be transformed upon our return.
Inspired by the stunning colors, clear blue skies, and warm embrace of La Palma, those thoughts and ideas are plentiful.
